After a year of dedication, hard work and more than just a little bit of fun, the USU’s volunteers celebrated last week at the Annual Volunteer of the Year Awards held in the Verge Gallery. Three vollies were awarded prestigious awards for their outstanding contribution to the USU, the University and the wider community. The awards, presented by award sponsor PKF, went to. Francesca Augimeri (Festival Volunteer of the Year), Laura Hepburn (Social Justice Volunteer of the Year) and Ariadna Kiehn (International Programs Volunteer of the Year).
USU Vice-President Zac Thompson acknowledged all Volunteers and Committee Members for their contribution to the USU, “Without you our events and activities could not run so successfully and we thank all of you for contributing your time and skills to the USU”.
The USU/PKF Volunteer of the Year Awards is an annual presentation recognising the efforts of volunteers who have contributed to enriching the USU community.
The Volunteer of the Year Awards are presented to individual volunteers, whose efforts have been outstanding and they have shown great commitment to the USU community and its volunteer programs.
