Australian Discussion Groups
The Australian Discussion Groups give international students studying at the University of Sydney a chance to make friends with local students and learn about Australian cultural and way of life, while increasing their self-confidence in their spoken English.
For the local students it gives them a chance to meet cool and interesting people from all around the world, learn different languages and help the international students to feel a sense of belonging to the University community.
The Australian Discussion Groups take place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 3.00 and 6.00pm. Each group last for one hour but participants are welcome to stay longer.
The Australian Discussion Groups take place on Level 4 of the Wentworth Building. Special events are scheduled regularly and take place in cafes, Manning Bar and off campus locations.
Australian Discussion Groups are FREE to join!
2009 positions open during O-Week, 25 - 27 February 2009.
