The proposed Constitutional Amendments are thus

Insert clause 3.3 ‘The cost of Student and Associate Membership shall be determined by the Executive, at a value not greater than five dollars’

Amend clause 4.1.ii from ‘Two Vice Presidents (one male and one female)’ to ‘Two Vice Presidents’

Remove clause 4.6 ‘The First Year Representative should be in their first year of university, in any Faculty or School at the University of Sydney’

Insert clause 4.10 ‘Subsequent to the election of the President, if the President elected is a male, then one of the positions of Vice-President shall be restricted to a female. This is to ensure that at least one member of the Senior Executive is female.’

Amend clause 8.1 from ‘The Society shall hold an Annual General Meeting annually in the month of August’ to ‘The Society shall hold an Annual General Meeting annually in the month of October.’

Amend clause 9.1 from ‘The Executive shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting in the month of August each year, preferably in the second week of semester two’ to ‘The Executive shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting in the month of October each year’

Further, nominations for the position of Male First Year Representative are open. Please email secretary@supoliticssociety.com with a brief description of your experience and reasons for nominating. Students need not be in their first year, to actually be first year representative. We will be filling this position at the Meeting.
